SDR Dermatology
The dermatology service is run by Hilary O′Dair BVetMed CertSAD CertSAM MRCVS, who runs the Dermatology Consultancy "SkinvetsSW.”
Hilary qualified from the Royal Veterinary College in 1982. Since then she has concentrated on small animal clinical work in practice, with a return to academia at Langford, University of Bristol, between 1988-1996 during which she attained the RCVS Certificates in Small Animal Dermatology and Small Animal Medicine.
She has been Chief Examiner for the RCVS SA Medicine Certificate, a member of the RCVS SA Medicine Board, and is a current Advisor in SA Medicine for the Certificate exams. She is a lifelong member of the FAB (Feline Advisory Bureau), was a member of the FAB committee for 10 years and has been a member of the BVA In Practice Editorial Board for 15 years.
She has been involved with first opinion and referral dermatology for over 20 years and is a member of the British Veterinary Dermatology Study Group (BVDSG) and The European Society of Veterinary Dermatology (ESVD). She has published as a first named author in "Journal of Small Animal Practice”, "The Veterinary Record”, "In Practice” and "Veterinary Clinics of North America”. Special clinical interests include feline dermatology and both canine and feline endocrinology.
